Still Here

I developed these drawings during the last years of working on my book Making Art in Prison: Survival and Resistance and during the years my husband was suffering with, and eventually died from, dementia. I didn't realize it when I started the series, but the drawings came to be associated for me with the proximity of suffering and resilience.
